This week I continue my celebration of the release of The First Principle by conducting another character interview. Read last week’s interview with Vivica. Next up is Drake Freeman, an Emancipation Warrior from the Coastal Plain Region.
Here’s what Drake has to say when I gave him five random words.
1.) Tennis
High school. I played back in high school. I thought I was quite the stud, though I never attracted as much attention as I would’ve liked from the ladies, even when I won. That’s probably just as well. I’m sure that kept me from trouble.
2.) Politician
Smarmy. Our nation is full of politicians who deserve to be saddled with that description. It’s one reason I joined the Emancipation Warriors, even though my step-father is a governor.
3.) Parachute
Reliable. I’m still alive because the one time I jumped out of a plane during my training period with the Warriors, I had a reliable chute. That didn’t make the experience any less terrifying. Wait, can you forget I said that? I don’t want to wreck my tough image.
4.) Fork
Steak. It’s my favorite. I haven’t had any for awhile. Too busy working for the Warriors.
5.) Essay
Painful. Reading and writing are not my favorite activities, so I’m thankful my school days are over.
Thanks, Drake. Next week we’ll hear Four Facts and a Fib from Ben Lagarde.
